PHP Excel Creator library

Pizza SEO has developed library for writing Excel (XLS) documents in PHP from former PEAR class Spreadsheet Excel Writer (see PEAR). We have cleaned this class, so PEAR installation is not required anymore and class is available as the standalone class.

PHP Excel Creator class fully supports Office XP Excel (XLS) format with write support for international characters in UTF-8 encoding. We have previously used php_writeexcel class, which does not have full support for writing UTF-8 (or non-ASCII) characters.

Pizza SEO uses PHP Excel Creator class for creating customized SEO reports for our clients.

Excel writer class in PHP is available under GNU Lesser Public License as it is derived from PEAR class under GNU LGPL. Instructions on how to use the class are available from betina attack. Download the class below.
